Visitor Missing in Turks and Caicos Islands Sparks Concern and Questions

Concern mounts in the Turks and Caicos Islands as Edgar Miguel Veloz Tirado, a visitor, remains missing nine days after he was last seen. The community, stunned by the elapsed time since Tirado’s disappearance on April 8th, has taken to social media to express their apprehension.

The delay in reporting Tirado’s absence has raised eyebrows, with questions surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance. It was only after the owner of a black and yellow jet ski, rented by Tirado for a trip to a nearby cay, lodged a report with the RTCIPF Police Control Room that police were alerted to the situation.

Despite concerted efforts from law enforcement, including a missing person alert issued on April 17th, there has been no feedback or leads regarding Tirado’s whereabouts. Further complicating the case, officers discovered that Tirado had not checked out of a rented villa, and his belongings remained untouched.

As the search continues for the 41-year-old Dominican national, the community anxiously awaits updates from authorities on this perplexing and concerning situation.
