The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) has arrested three male suspects in connection with the shooting death of 44-year-old Chato Moore, a resident of Five Cays.
Moore was fatally shot on December 19 in Dock Yard. Following a series of early morning operations on December 21, the suspects—aged 20, 20, and 24—were apprehended under the execution of multiple warrants.
In addition to the arrests, two females—a 15-year-old minor and a 24-year-old woman—were taken into custody after ammunition was discovered in their residence during the operations. Commissioner of Police (ag) Fitz Bailey underscored that these arrests reflect the police force’s ongoing commitment to combating crime and targeting criminal activity.
Commissioner Bailey reiterated the importance of the public’s cooperation, stating, “We are taking the fight directly to the criminals and those who harbor them. During our operations, the public can expect some inconvenience, but we assure you that these actions are for your safety.”
