TCI Delegation Leads Charge Against Financial Crime at Northern Caribbean Security Summit
The concluding day of the Northern Caribbean Security Summit, spearheaded by Her Excellency Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, witnessed the TCI delegation’s concerted efforts to address financial crime and its wider repercussions, including public health, education, and safeguarding matters, alongside preventive strategies like youth empowerment.
Key presentations were delivered by esteemed figures including the Honorable Attorney General, representatives from the Financial Intelligence Agency, the National Security Secretariat, and the Department of Rehabilitation and Community Services.
Furthermore, Her Excellency, in conjunction with the Honorable Minister of Immigration and the Honorable Attorney General, engaged in focused discussions regarding the situation in Haiti. Principal stakeholders and senior operational leads from the Bahamas and the US were present, fostering agreements for enhanced operational coordination and cohesion.
The TCI delegation exhibited pride and professionalism in representing the islands at the summit. Moreover, the Bahamas formally passed on the Chairmanship of the upcoming summit to the Turks and Caicos Islands, symbolizing a pivotal role in shaping future regional security endeavors.
