Robert Been Returns for Third All-Island Race, Raises Campaign Concerns

Deputy Leader of the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM), Robert Been, Identifies Key National Concerns and Priorities

During the announcement of his party’s five all-island candidates, Deputy Leader Robert Been of the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) highlighted pressing issues facing the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI). These include illegal immigration, the high cost of living, rising crime and violence, healthcare challenges, and limited opportunities for the populace.

Been emphasized the significance of addressing underemployment, improving infrastructure, and enhancing access to capital as top priorities for the Opposition as they prepare for the upcoming General Election. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve under the leadership of Hon. Edwin Astwood, describing him as a leader dedicated to uplifting the people of TCI.

Asserting the capabilities of the PDM team, Been stated their collective commitment to effecting positive change in the nation. He underscored their focus on serving the interests of the people and pledged to work towards improving the lives of all Turks and Caicos Islanders.

Been acknowledged public dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs and affirmed the party’s dedication to delivering tangible improvements. He stressed the importance of prioritizing the needs of TCI citizens and called for unity and support from every member of the community in building a stronger nation together.
