New Commissioner Designate Arrives to Lead Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force

In a highly anticipated development, the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) is set to welcome Mr. Edvin Martin as its new Commissioner, marking a pivotal moment in the islands’ security landscape. Scheduled to commence his tenure during the week of April 22, 2024, Mr. Martin brings with him a wealth of experience, having previously led the Royal Grenada Police Force and served as President of the Association of Caribbean Police Chiefs.

With a firm focus on bolstering safety measures for both residents and visitors alike, Mr. Martin, accompanied by his family, is poised to make a significant impact. Throughout his induction period, he has actively collaborated with Her Excellency, interim Acting Commissioner Eyre, key members of the Force Executive, and regional counterparts to ensure a seamless transition.

Recognizing the invaluable leadership of Mr. Eyre during the interim period, Her Excellency extends her appreciation, while Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rodney Adams assumes responsibility for RTCIPF until Mr. Martin’s official arrival later this month. Anticipation mounts as the islands prepare to embrace new security initiatives under Mr. Martin’s leadership.
