Mad Max’ Convicted Of Murder In Providenciales Shooting

Kendall Rondre Dean, known by aliases including “Mad Max” and “Maddie,” has been convicted of the murder of Joshua Swann, following a trial in the Grand Turk Supreme Court. The verdict, delivered by a nine-member jury on April 22nd, has resulted in Dean’s remand to Her Majesty’s Prison until sentencing on June 10th, 2024.

The conviction stems from an incident on August 8th, 2021, where Swann, a resident of Five Cays, was fatally shot multiple times at North West Point in Providenciales. Despite efforts to save him, Swann succumbed to his injuries at the Cheshire Hall Medical Center.

The arrest and subsequent charge of Dean came after intensive investigations and interviews conducted by detectives from the Serious Crimes Unit. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rodney Adams praised the collaborative efforts of various police units and international partners, highlighting the role of witnesses in bringing about the conviction.

Adams emphasized the importance of witness cooperation in holding perpetrators accountable and enhancing community safety. He commended the dedication of officers involved in the case, underscoring the collective effort to achieve justice and make a positive impact in the community.
