A joint operation involving officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force and the Border Force has resulted in the detention of eight individuals, including two minors.
The operation occurred yesterday (October 30th).
Eight persons, including ONE (1) male adult, TWO (2) minor males, and FIVE (5) adult females, were held and handed over to Border Force for processing. The adult male is expected to be charged with harbouring illegal migrants.
Additionally, during the operation, officers also detained another illegal male migrant who was deported six months ago. He will be charged with Unlawful Entry.
On October 29th, RT&CIPF officers conducted road checks along South Dock Road, Providenciales.
∙ THIRTY-TWO (32) vehicles were checked
∙ ONE (1) traffic ticket issued
∙ TWO (2) vehicles were towed
∙ THREE (3) persons warned of intended prosecution.
