Deputy Governor’s Office Prepares for 2024/25 Fiscal Year

Today, Deputy Governor Her Excellency Anya Williams, alongside her team at the Office of the Deputy Governor, convened to take stock of their achievements and challenges throughout the 2023/24 period. The meeting aimed to delineate objectives, goals, and a work plan for the upcoming 2024/25 fiscal year.

Over the past year, the Human Resource Management Directorate spearheaded a commendable recruitment drive, striving to attract top talent and address vacancies within the public service. This initiative resulted in numerous promotions and new hires, positively impacting employment across various sectors.

Furthermore, a comprehensive review of staff salaries and allowances was successfully undertaken, culminating in the implementation of a revamped pay and grading structure effective December 1, 2023. Concurrently, the Cabinet Office facilitated a total of 34 Cabinet meetings, ensuring the smooth functioning of governance processes. Noteworthy progress was also made by the Procurement Office in advancing the tender and award process for numerous contracts, while the Training Directorate delivered vital training programs across government departments.

Looking ahead, Deputy Governor Her Excellency Anya Williams and her team remain dedicated to building on their successes and enhancing public service delivery in the forthcoming year. They aspire to introduce innovative policies, systems, and programs geared towards further improving efficiency and effectiveness.
