Police Apprehend Suspect in Grand Turk Robbery: Investigations Underway

A 53-year-old male suspect is currently in police custody following a robbery in Grand Turk yesterday evening, as confirmed by Superintendent Willet Harvey. The suspect was apprehended today (March 26) shortly after noon along Front Street, Grand Turk.

Superintendent Harvey stated, ‘Officers acting on information proceeded to the location and arrested the suspect. Investigations are continuing.’

The robbery incident occurred yesterday at 11:20 p.m., when officers from the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force responded to a report of a robbery at a business establishment in North Back Salina, Grand Turk.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a male suspect entered the establishment and confronted an individual regarding the price of a drink. After making threats, the suspect left and returned shortly with a knife, robbing the establishment before fleeing the scene.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing as the suspect remains in police custody.
