#TurksandCaicos, December 29, 2023 – Police are calling for witnesses following a two-vehicle collision on December 29th that sent two residents to hospital. Involved were a red Nissan March without a registration plate and a white Toyota Corolla bearing the registration plate number V22331.

The two collided head-on on Airport Road around 8 pm Friday resulting in significant damage to the front end of both cars.

Police issued this report on December 31:  On the evening of Friday, December 29th, 2023, the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force responded to reports of a serious motor vehicle accident on Airport Road at around 8:00 p.m.

The collision involved a red Nissan March without a registration plate and a white Toyota Corolla bearing the registration plate number V22331. Both individuals involved sustained injuries and were promptly transported to Hospital for necessary treatment and care.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force’s Traffic Unit is actively conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding this incident to ascertain all pertinent details.

We urge any individual who may have additional information or witnessed the events leading up to this traffic incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.

Magnetic Media learned of the EMS team, who rushed to the scene however it was residents who pried the door of the red vehicle open to get to the driver who, while thankfully conscious, was bleeding severely from the face.

Now police are asking, “Those with relevant information are encouraged to make contact with the authorities by dialing 911, reaching out to the nearest police station, or contacting TCI Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 to contribute details anonymously.”
