TCIG gets the go-ahead for sea defenses

#TurksandCaicosIslands – Work will begin soon on three coastal protection projects; Breakwaters are coming for Grand Turk, with seawalls in Salt Cay and South Dock in Providenciales. 

Each concrete structure is being built to prevent further degradation and reduce dangerous surf at these critical coastal sites.  

The projects were part of the Caribbean Development Bank study and reached a marked stage with Physical Planning Board approval last month.
