On Saturday, March 1, 2025, the Felix Morley Community Center was filled with joy and laughter as seniors from Five Cays, South Dock, and Chalk Sound gathered for the Second Annual Senior Citizens Social.

Hosted by the Constituency Council and Hon. Rachel Taylor, Member of Parliament, the event brought together residents aged 60 and older for an afternoon of celebration, entertainment, and community spirit.

Attendees enjoyed delicious food, lively entertainment, and exciting giveaways, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable contributions of senior citizens to the community.

Reflecting on the gathering, Hon. Rachel Taylor expressed her gratitude, stating:

“Our seniors are the pillars of our community, the custodians of our history, and the guiding voices of wisdom. Their sacrifices, dedication, and resilience have paved the way for the generations that follow. It was truly a joy to celebrate them, to share in their stories, and to remind them how valued they are. This event was not just about entertainment—it was about showing love, appreciation, and ensuring that our elders feel connected and supported. I remain committed to advocating for their well-being and ensuring they continue to have opportunities to engage and enjoy the community they helped to build. I thank each and every senior who attended, as well as those who worked behind the scenes to make this day special.”

The event also provided an opportunity for Hon. Taylor and the Constituency Council to extend their sincere thanks to the people of Five Cays, South Dock, and Chalk Sound for their overwhelming support at the polls. The trust and confidence of the community remain a driving force behind ongoing efforts to foster growth and unity.

A special note of appreciation is extended to the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force Community Police Division for their presence and support throughout the event. Additionally, deep gratitude is expressed to our generous sponsors—FLOW, Digicel, Las Brisas, and Omar’s Beach Hut—whose contributions helped make this event a resounding success. Their commitment to community engagement and support for our seniors is truly commendable.

The success of this year’s Senior Citizens Social reinforces a commitment to celebrating and supporting the elders of the community, ensuring that their legacy is honored for years to come.
