3rd Annual Commons and Overseas Territories Speakers’ Conference

This week, Hon. Speaker Burton presided over the 3rd Annual Commons and Overseas Territories Speakers’ Conference, held in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Speakers from various Overseas Territories, alongside UK House of Commons Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon. Nigel Evans MP, OT Clerks, and representatives from the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, convened to exchange insights, best practices, and strategies pertinent to their parliamentary roles and processes.

Her Excellency the Governor, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, delivered remarks during a special session of the House of Assembly and hosted a reception at Waterloo, Grand Turk, in honor of the visiting Speakers, dignitaries, and delegates.
